General Manager, Day Release
We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead our newest venue, Day Release, at Signal Yard on Milton Park. Day Release is Tap Social's largest venue to date, with a fresh bakery counter, delicious locally roasted coffee, wood fired pizzas, seasonal salads and sandwiches and a range of other deli items as well as a fully stocked bar featuring Tap Social beers.
Main Responsibilities
- Launching our new venue in late July/early August 2026
- Managing rotas and forecasting for the week ahead
- Focusing on GP while driving sales to the venue across a range of revenue streams
- Managing labour and cost budgets, working to a forecast, and responsible for overall profit and loss of the venue
- Acting as a brand ambassador for our social enterprise mission, supporting prisoners and prison leavers in the workplace and helping us to raise awareness with venue visitors
- Leading the team on shifts
- Managing bookings system and corresponding with customers to book in events, private hire, table bookings, etc.
- Arranging and booking private hire and events from start to finish
- Taking responsibility for the venues Health & Safety protocols to maintain a 5 star hygiene rating
- Supporting training and staff development
- Retain information about products and social enterprise model and be able to talk confidently about them with customers
Required Experience
- Exceptional work ethic and proven ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, effectively managing multiple tasks
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skill
- Engaging and approachable demeanour, fostering positive working relationships and promoting a collaborative team environment
- A minimum of three years experience in a similar role

Experienced Baker, Proof Bakehouse
We are looking for an experienced baker to work alongside our Head Baker and baking team, producing bread, pastries, savoury goods, cakes and buns, doughnuts and more.
Desired experience: at least one year in a commercial bakery.
Main responsibilities and required skills:
Experience of production baking, including lamination and sourdough
Assisting with day to day bakery production and supervising junior baking team
Working as part of a team, learning and sharing skills and contributing to a positive and exciting environment for the team to work and develop
Running a shift and training others
Flexibility and resilience with determination to consistently make products to a high standard
Carry out all baking duties with care and diligence to help guarantee the production of consistently high standard of product, along with minimal levels of wastage

We are looking for several front of house team members to work in our new location, Day Release at Signal Yard, Milton Park.
Main responsibilities:
- Assisting the cafe manager in the day to day running of the cafe
- Preparing bakery, bread, and food displays ready for opening times
- Assisting in maintaining required records for stock, orders, food diaries, waste, fridge/freezer temperatures, and food temperature checks
- Ensuring all areas are kept clean and tidy throughout the operating hours
- Greeting and welcoming customers and providing excellent customer service
- Opening and closing the cafe and ensuring standards of each are upkept
- Taking customer orders, processing payments and handling digital POS systems
- Following all health, hygiene and food safety guidelines
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies
- Following brand recipes and presentation standards, and acting as a brand ambassador for Tap Social's social enterprise

- Preparing high quality specialty drinks
- Maintaining coffee section cleanliness
- Weekly grinder cleaning and equipment trouble shooting
- Greeting and welcoming customers and providing excellent customer service
- Taking orders and putting them through the till
- Retain information about the menus and be able to talk confidently about them with customers
- Assist the team with orderly stock control, receiving deliveries and storing safely
- Treat all customers in a helpful and friendly manner and assist them with their requests

We are looking for a Kitchen Manager to lead the kitchen team in our new location, Day Release at Signal Yard, Milton Park, in producing wood fired pizzas, sandwiches, salads and a range of other seasonal products.
Desired experience: at least one year of kitchen management or head chef experience
Main responsibilities and required skills:
Staff Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule kitchen employees to ensure efficient workflow and high performance
Food Preparation Oversight: Supervise food prep and cooking, monitor portion sizes, presentation, and quality to maintain consistency
Inventory and Supply Management: Order ingredients and supplies, maintain stock levels, and perform regular inventory assessments
Menu Planning: Collaborate with chefs to develop menus, implement new recipes, and adjust offerings based on demand or seasonal availability
Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce sanitation standards, ensure proper food storage, and maintain compliance with local health regulations
